 An artist is a person who is involved in creating art. Art consists of various works  Like painting, writing literature, drawing, sculpture etc. Artists are people who have a special skill in particular art. For example, a power, a writer, sculptor are considered as an artist as they perform their art in a creative way. An artist has a special skill in particular art.

Passion makes a person creative. Artists work/ create art out of their passion. An artist always thinks in a different and creative way which makes their art unique from others.

One can promote themselves by using various sources and platforms like social media, newspapers, there are various other sources where you can promote yourself. self – promotion is not a bad thing. Don’t hesitate to promote yourself. Self promoting is proving or promoting yourself to the world through different actions.

Begin as an artist! Starting a career as an artist is really great but just being an artist is not enough. You should become famous as an artist, which is your goal and will be your destination. There are many social media sites like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc. where one can promote themself. So, it even works out even for artists.

In social media, you can post your arts, pictures, share your views etc so that you can promote yourself as an artist. Social media is a platform to interact with others.  Have a good interaction with people, try to have contact with the majority of people. As we know that we can interact with people through websites like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook etc. even try to maintain direct contact with various people. Which helps you a lot in promoting you as an artist.

As we know about the term word of mouth advertising which absolutely works out if you maintain huge contacts and good relations with them so that the people themselves ( with whom you have interaction) will promote you as an artist. For example, consider you bought an item and you liked it very much so will definitely share your experience about that with others so that item is getting a promotion.      Nowadays most people are dependent on Google to search for any information. People create their own websites and index in google to share their information with the public. This can be considered as a way to promote themself. So, you create your own website and share the views and information with others where they come to know you as an artist.

    You can promote yourself as an artist to the world.  You no need to worry that information may be changed. There is no chance to edit the information available on google. We can only have a look but cannot change that information. So, create your own website and use it in a worthy manner to promote yourself as an artist. 

6. Participate in competitions

Try to participate in maximum competitions where you can prove yourself. As a beginner, you may not be so confident and hesitate to participate. But, Never hesitate to participate if you do so you may miss an opportunity. When you show interest and perform well in a competition many people come to know about you. It is a kind of self-promoting you as an artist. Some people achieve it as soon as they begin and it takes a little time for some other people. But, don’t stop participating. One day you will succeed and get known to various people. If you try and succeed in any competition it is like you are promoting yourself.

6. Start A Youtube channel

    Start promoting yourself as an artist by creating a youtube channel. Youtube is a platform where you can promote yourself. You can also share the information and your views with the public. You can also share videos regarding you and your arts. Make sure that viewers should be curious and interested to have a look at your channel. People go through your channel and have a view of your videos where you are getting promoted. Also, start videos like classes on particular art you know so in that case also you are getting promoted as an artist. 

7. Organise an event based on art/artist

    You can organise an event regarding art and artists so it will be easy to promote you as an artist. You should be highlighted as an artist in the event. Show your talent to the public over there. And if you get an invitation even to a small event try to attend and prove yourself and promote. When you get highlighted among others you will be easily promoted. Perform your art and promote it in an event. So,  You can be promoted.

Few other ways how a beginner can promote himself or herself as an artist :

Publish your art. So, your art reaches the public and they come to know about you as an artist and you are promoting yourself as an artist. As it is published in your name. 

Teach others about the art you know as you are well skilled.
